TUITION POLICY July 1, 2009- June 30th 2010
UNH Sliding Scale Tuition Rates (based on family income and UNH status)
All benefits eligible UNH faculty and PATor O/S staff and full-time students (minimum 12 credits of undergraduate or equivalent graduate full-time enrollment) may access a sliding scale tuition rate based on family income. Tuition includes virtually all program costs for families.
UNH families (whose total income is <$110,000 and who desire a subsidy) must submit all W-2 forms along with the most recent pay check stubs for all family members to the UNH/CHHS Business Service Center (862-2261) within two weeks of a child’s acceptance to the program.

In cases where a non-UNH family isadmitted the tuition will be at the >$110,000 level above.
Any CSDCfamily may be eligible for NH Child CareAssistance toward tuition based on family size and income. Forinstance, a family of 4 earning less than $38,000 may be eligible for somestate assistance if working or pursuing training. If you think you may beeligible, please contact your district office of the Division of FamilyAssistance in the Department of Health and Human Services (www.dhhs.state.nh.us)or ask the Center Manager at CSDC(862-2833) for more information.
TuitionDeposit
A non-refundabledeposit of $275 (consisting of aone-time registration fee of $75 and a tuition deposit of $200) is required inorder to confirm acceptance of an admission offer into the full-day programs.The tuition deposit (only) will be evenly credited against tuition paymentsduring the year.
TuitionPayment:
Tuition is paid in advance in two week increments, or as arranged with the UNH Collegeof Health and Human Services Business Service Center (BSC). Once a deposit hasbeen paid, all full-time parents meet with the BSC representative (in HewittHall) to go over their payment plan. Families planning to access NH State ChildCare Assistance must meet with the Center Manager as soon as possible and priorto their child attending the center to determine tuition co-payments.
For UNH/USNH employees a payroll deduction form must besubmitted to the CHHS Business Centerwithin one week of paying the deposit for the CSDC program. Payroll deductions will begin on thepayday before your child starts. The Business Service Centerwill offer parents an opportunity to review deduction schedules in advance andwill provide dependent care receipts upon request.
Student and other families not eligiblefor payroll deduction should make payments two weeks in advance, beginning theFriday before their child starts. Checks should be made out toUNH/CSDC and can be left at the CSDC office. Any family two weeks in arrears may beconsidered to have withdrawn from CSDC unless arrangements for payment havebeen discussed with the Director prior to that time.
Parents become responsible for tuition onthe date their child is enrolled, with one exception. In the event an infant between birth andsix weeks of age is enrolled, parents will be responsible for 50% of thetuition to reserve the space until the infant reaches six weeks of age. At thattime, parents will be responsible for the full tuition.
The Business Service Center will initiate anyfee reductions resulting from internal program changes (for example, when achild moves from the toddler room to the Preschool I classroom). There is a $25fee for a returned check.
ProgramWithdrawal
Childrenadmitted to CSDC are eligible to attend the full day child care programs onlywhile a parent/guardian retains status as a benefits eligible UNH or USNHemployee or full-time student. Any extension of enrolment for the currentacademic year much be approved by the Director in writing and will be based ondemand for the opening, the specific circumstances, and the needs of the child.
Parents must submit a written notice tothe CSDC administrative assistant atleast four weeks (not including centerclosures) prior to withdrawing a child. Parents will be responsible for all fees during this four-week period,even if their child does not attend and/or the position is filled. Withdrawalnotification in writing by new families before May 1st (prior tocommencing enrolment for the new academic year) may be eligible for a refund ofthe tuition deposit only if a replacement is found.
